Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Approved Provisions on Radiation Protection Expert
Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1493 dated 24 December 2024 approved the Provisions on Radiation Protection Expert.
According to the Provisions, a radiation protection expert is “an individual who meets qualification characteristics, has higher education, work experience, scope of knowledge and skills sufficient to provide recommendations on ensuring radiation protection of personnel and the public according to the legislation of Ukraine and taking into account international and European regulations and practice, and whose competence is recognized by the SNRIU”.
These Provisions establish qualification characteristics, requirements for the scope of knowledge and skills, work experience of radiation protection experts, areas of competence, and procedure for recognition and termination of competence of radiation protection experts.
The Resolution comes into force six months from the date of its publication, except for paras. 13, 14, 16 and 17 of the Provisions, which enter into force from the date of publication of this Resolution.
