2024 PENELOPE training course on electron-photon transport modeling

This is a four-day training course aimed at training specialists, designed for researchers in radiation physics and its applications.
The training will focus on mastering the new version of the PENELOPE code system based on the Monte Carlo method in calculations involving the determination of electron and photon transport. The classes will consist of theoretical and practical lessons and will be held on the PENMAIN platform, which works with different types of radiation.
Practical classes will include:
- installation of the necessary programs and tools (GUI);
- use of PENMAIN for a set of examples provided in the distribution;
- design of modeling of other experimental devices (geometry, radiation source, modeling parameters).
