38th Commemoration of the Chornobyl Disaster
The 38th commemoration of the Chornobyl disaster, the largest man-made disaster in the world, when a radioactive cloud of Cesium-137 spread not only across Ukraine but also to most European countries: Sweden, Finland, Austria, Norway, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Greece, Slovenia, Italy, and Moldova.
38 years ago, more than 600 thousand people were involved in the liquidation of the disaster consequences – power engineers, military, workers, miners, construction workers, drivers, cooks, doctors… People. Heroes. Those who sacrificed their lives and health to protect future generations from radiation.
For 38 years, the entire world community has been fighting for nuclear and radiation safety, however, Zaporizhzhia NPP has been occupied for three years, and crooks and ignorant people resort to nuclear terrorism and endanger the world’s nuclear safety.
Every day, Ukraine and the world are one step away from a new Chornobyl, and Ukrainian defenders, like the liquidators of the Chornobyl accident, are fighting the invasion of Ukrainian lands. Only the liberation of Ukraine from the invasion, return of Zaporizhzhia NPP under control, and protection of all nuclear and energy facilities from russian attacks will guarantee nuclear and radiation safety for the entire world.
