International partners continue to condemn russia’s actions and support Ukraine in ensuring nuclear and radiation safety, as well as physical protection. In particular, the Government of Norway established a five-year support program for Ukraine “Nansen” with a budget of 7 billion euros. Tim Mazzarelli, the Head of the US State Department’s Counter-Terrorism Office, noted that supporting Ukraine in ensuring nuclear and radiation security is an important priority for the US.
It is worth noting that the Information Exchange Initiative was created in 2016 as a valuable platform for coordinating the cooperation of international organizations with Ukraine. Therefore, work is currently underway to analyze this structure and revise the Framework cooperation document, which should more clearly define the goals and organizational activity.
