NuScale Certified by International Organization for Standardization
Upon assessing the NuScale’s Quality Management System (QMS) by Orion Register Inc., the leading International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the industry certification body awarded NuScale ISO 9001:2015 certificate.
ISO 9001 is a standard included into the series of the ISO 9000 international standards and describes the requirements for the quality management systems at the enterprises and in the organizations. The certificate confirms that NuScale has a reliable quality system that ensures consistent high-quality work by paying special attention to customer feedback and improvement.
In 2011, NuScale first received an approval from the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission for its quality management program pursuant to Section 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Appendix B/Nuclear Materials Quality Assurance-1 (NQA-1). Moreover, since 2019, NuScale has N authorization certificate issued by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
Both NQA-1 and ASME N certificate are considered the main indicators of the efficiency of the quality management systems in nuclear engineering.
