Chornobyl NPP has again switched to a special regime

SSE “Chornobyl NPP” went into idle mode for the period from March 25 to at least April 4. The decision was made by the station administration in connection with the quarantine on the basis of the order of March 24, 2021 № 376 “On the introduction of standstill at the enterprise.”

The Chornobyl NPP reported that operational personnel who guarantee the nuclear and radiation safety of the enterprise remain at the workplaces, and from time to time — employees without whom it is impossible to do during the standstill.

Until the end of the quarantine, contact with the Chornobyl nuclear power plant is requested to be maintained via e-mail office@chnpp.gov.ua.

According to the press service of the station, on March 23, 2021, 344 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded among the staff. 318 people have already recovered, 24 are being treated on an outpatient basis, 1 is hospitalized, and another person has died.
