Yellow Cake Production Decreased in September
The Eastern Mining and Processing Plant in September 2020 produced 58.4 tons of uranium oxide concentrate. According to the Ministry of Energy, this is 20% less compared to September 2019.
The production of yellow cake in January-September 2020 compared to the same period in 2019 decreased by 7%: to 637.4 tons with a total value of 1,764,000,000 UAH.
401,700 tons of uranium ore were mined in nine months of 2020, which is 6.5% less compared to January-September 2019.
As reported, in August 2020, the Eastern Mining and Processing Plant produced 77.3 tons of yellow cake, which is 8% less than in the same period of 2019.
