INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF VISITORS OF THE EXCLUSION ZONE DURING 2017-2020

The diagram shows that the peak of study trips to the Chornobyl exclusion zone last year was in October.
The cause of low attendance of the exclusion zone in 2020 is quarantine. From 18 March to 1 June, the exclusion zone was closed for study visits. Respectively, no visitors were there in April and May.
In recent years, attendance of the exclusion zone increased several times and reached its peak in 2019: 124,000 people. Almost 80% of visitors came from abroad.
