SSTC NRS Radiological Survey Did Not Detect Abandoned Radiation Sources in Kyiv Quarter
On 23 June, experts from the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety conducted a radiological survey in the yard of a Kyiv residential quarter.
A request for survey was received from residents of the house located on the Povitroflotskyi Avenue. Local residents suspected that sealed radiation sources from the military unit located nearby were disposed in their yard.

Experts of the SSTC NRS Measurement Center inspected the playground, perimeter of the military unit and adjacent territory using MKS-AT1117M dosimeter-radiometer and DKS-AT1123 dosimeter. The devices did not record any differences from the natural radiation background level.
