Cabinet of Ministers Not Decided on SAUEZM Candidate Head

Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine Oleksii Orzhel is currently making a decision on the candidacy for the Head of the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management (SAUEZM).

This became known from the briefing of Prime Minister Oleksiy Goncharuk upon the results of the Government meeting on 19 February.

“As for the exclusion zone, everything is very simple. The minister, who defines the candidacy that should be presented for the government makes a decision himself. We are looking for a strong person with specific knowledge. Obviously, this should be a person who understands what radiation is. There is a certain specificity of work”, Goncharuk said.

According to him, more information about the competition for SAUEZM head can be presented by Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection Oleksiy Orzhel.

“As soon as the government receives the proposal, we will consider it. Now we are looking for an adequate person”, the Prime Minister added.

We recall that the duties of the Head of the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management since 5 February 2020 are fulfilled by Head of the International Cooperation and Public Relations Department Kateryna Pavlova.
