On May 21, 2019, at 10:00, a ceremony of signing contract documents will be held at the conference hall of the State Agency of Ukraine for the management of the exclusion zone within the framework of the NATO project on the disposal of radioactive waste stored in the cemetery at the Tsibulyovo facility of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in Kirovograd region.

This project is being implemented within the framework of the Implementation Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and NATO on support and supply for the re-burial of radioactive waste resulting from the implementation of the military programs of the former USSR in Ukraine. The agreement was signed on February 8, 2013 and ratified on June 17, 2015 by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
During the ceremony, information will be provided on the prospects for assisting Ukraine of NATO member countries in addressing the problems of storage and disposal of radioactive waste, which pose a serious threat to the environment, health and life of people.
