Information Tour “Radiation Survey by Towns of Ukraine”

The State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety (SSTC NRS) is setting out on information tour “Radiation Survey by Towns of Ukraine”. The tour will focus on Zhytomyr, Volyn and Rivne regions.
Employing the unique equipment of the RanidSONNI vehicle, its crew will conduct a series of radiological surveys. The radiological experts will check the level of radiation in buildings, soils, food, water etc. Residents of the towns will have a unique opportunity to use free services of the mobile laboratory and see if there are any dangerous radiation anomalies around them.
The radiation content will be checked in agricultural products, mushrooms, berries, medicinal plants, wood, water, household items, clothing, jewelry and electronic devices. Radiation survey of suspicious territories, including those within the boundaries of urban development, may also be conducted.
